Erica McLean is an intellectually gifted and highly optimistic local educator and Cross-Fit athlete who grew up on the Gitxsan First Nation, several hundred kilometres west of Prince George.
After years of working as an Indigenous education worker and community school coordinator, Erica McLean is now running for a seat on School District No. 57’s board of education as a Trustee. She was also named the Brink Group Athlete of the Month in the summer of 2021.
Erica received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree (Education, Leadership and Administration) from the University of Northern British Columbia.
Erica cares greatly about the well-being and education of our children and school district. She feels it is in a challenging position right now. Erica spent many years in her profession connecting dots to spark collaboration and intends to do exactly that as a Trustee.
McLean worked in SD57 from 2012 to 2022 as an Indigenous Education Worker and Community School Coordinator, working in over thirty elementary and secondary schools.
