Tracy Calogheros was born in Toronto and has been in Prince George since 1992. As CEO of The Exploration Place, which has been closed since March 2020, Tracy and her team have been busy coordinating world-class renovations at the museum, preparing for its grand re-opening in autumn 2022.
Tracy has shown she cares about her community by volunteering on various boards and for community organizations. She exudes integrity by standing up for her beliefs and following through on her promises.
In 2017, Tracy received the Governor General’s Award for History in Community Programs for her work with the Lheidli T’enneh Nation and, in 2006, received the Association of Science and Technology Centres’ award for Experienced Leadership in the Field.
Tracy has planted her roots firmly in the north, and is committed to making a difference in her region. Married with three grown children, Tracy and her husband John share a passion for their community’s heritage and culture by working together at The Exploration Place in Prince George.
